Bacon Cheeseburger Eggrolls 

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • white onion diced
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • cup diced pickles or pickle relish
  • tsp salt
  • tsp pepper
  • cup cold water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 15 to 20 egg roll or wonton wrappers

Instructions:

  1. Fry the bacon in a large skillet
  2. Set to the side when done frying
  3. In the same pan, add the garlic and the onion and saute until the onions are translucent
  4. Add the ground beef to the pan, crumbling it as you add it
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the ground beef is no longer pink
  6. Remove from the heat and drain the excess fat from the pan=
  7. Chop the bacon into pieces and add to the beef
  8. Add in the pickles and the cheese and stir well
  9. Mix cornstarch and water together and using a pastry brush, brush the outer edges of the egg roll wrappers with the mix
  10. Add roughly 3 tbsp of hamburger mix at one edge of the wrapper. Make it inches from the sides
  11. Fold in the sides of the wrapper and roll the wrapper and beef up lengthwise
  12. Continue until all the ground beef mix is used
  13. Heat oil in a skillet about inch deep, when the oil is hot carefully place some egg rolls in and fry, turning routinely to get all sides a golden brown
  14. Place the egg rolls on paper towels or a cooling rack and continue until all rolls are cooked
  15. Serve with a dipping sauce of choice or mix ketchup with mayonnaise and add pickle relish to have a Big Mac style dipping sauce
