Hearty Slow-Cooked Chicken and Gravy: A Comfort Food Classic

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 packets of chicken gravy mix 0.87 ounce each
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup 10.5 ounce
  • 1 can of chicken broth 14.5 ounce
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard optional

Directions:

  1. Prepare the crockpot by spraying with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and place in the crockpot.
  3. In a small bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, gravy seasoning mix, chicken broth, and mustard until smooth. Pour over the chicken.
  4. Seal the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  5. When the chicken is tender, remove and shred with two forks. Return it to the crockpot and mix well.
  6. Serve with the flavorful gravy over cooked rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.
